MSD Strongbox is a networked confidential files manager of maximum security, which can store files in the database and protect them with a password.
To extract the files from the database it is necessary to know the password. MSD Strongbox is ideal for safely transporting documents on removable disks and Pen Drives, as it can be installed on this type of storage devices.
MSD Strongbox Multiuser is also available, allowing several users to share the information in a local area network with user access control.
If you install the software on your home or office computer, you may protect your private files so that anyone can access them if they do not know the password with which they were stored in the program database.
If you install the program on a Pen Drive or on a removable disk, you may take your private files anywhere safely, with the confidence that nobody will be able to read nor edit the files stored in the program database.
If you install the Multiuser version of the program, several people connected in a local network may protect the private files of the company, with the possibility that all authorized users can store and extract files, or that each user can only extract the files that he has stored.
MSD Strongbox features a first level data management technology, that allows to sort, group and filter the information by any field or combination of fields. Any combination of sorting, grouping or filtering can be visualized or printed in a report and also can be saved to disk in order to be recovered at any time.
All program reports can be saved to disk in PDF format.

- Data confidentiality and security: the information is protected by password while the program is running, when the information is saved to disk after the program is closed and when the information is backed up. The technology used to protect the information is of maximum safety. If you do not know the password used to encrypt the files, there is no way to recover them
- Safe file deletion: the registered version of the program can delete the disk files after storing them in the database with a safe procedure, which avoids that the files can be recovered by file recovery programs. In the trial version the files are deleted by the normal procedure
- Reliability: this program uses various techniques to ensure the integrity of the data stored in its database. For example, if the user decides to delete a disk file after storing it in the database, the program verifies that it is capable of extracting the file completely and that the file is identical to the original file before deleting it from disc. In addition, if files are stored in the database during a session, the program asks the user to make a backup before closing
- Multiple encryption passwords: by default, the program encrypts the files stored in the database with the access password. Users may chose to use a different password to encrypt each file stored in the database. Important: if you choose to store files with different passwords, make sure you have a system that allows you to remember the password used for each file
- File compression: by default, the program compresses the files before encryption to occupy less space in the database
- Installable on a Pen Drive or any removable disk, which allows to transport private files anywhere with complete confidentiality and security
- Data Export: you can export the information of the program in text, HTML, XML and excel formats. The files stored in the records are not exported
- Records can be filtered by any field combination
