Fora Plain Reader - dedicated to reading documents in a foreign language
Fora Reader is a reading application with a basic browser dedicated to reading documents in a foreign language, with features like; rapid word translations within the browser, customized dictionary management and plain text annotation for viewing with any web browser.
Written in the Java programming language, Fora works on Windows XP/Vista, Mac OS X and Linux operating systems and currently available in English, Spanish, Italian, German, French, Russian, Arabic and Portuguese interfaces (note that the translations are in beta stage). Out of box, it has just one comprehensive English-to-English dictionary installed but it can be extended easily by downloading and installing dictionaries.
Fora uses various types of inline tooltips to display translations and by using well-tailored tooltips right around the word to be translated it never suspends reading/browsing activity. The application can be viewed as a tool that virtually converts every document (or website) to an interactive one that has a complete integrated glossary.
System Requirements: Java 1.5 or newer; Firefox 3 or newer (or XULRunner v1.9+)
