NumXL Functions are organized into four categories:
- Statistical Tests for population distribution (mean, standard deviation, skew, kurtosis, normality, serial correlation (white-noise) and ARCH effect)
- Linear time series: conditional mean modeling (ARMA/ARIMA/ARMAX).
- ARCH/GARCH Analysis: conditional volatility and heteroskedacity modeling (ARC/GARCH/E-GARCH/GARCH-M)
- Advanced (Mixed) Models: log-likelihood, AIC, residuals diagnosis, parameters' constraints check, forecast, etc.
- Utilities: Interpolation, statistical functions
What's New: Enhanced GLM support: (1) support for Probit and complementary Log-Log link functions, added UI wizard, and several new Functions for GLM calibration and forecast.

- NumXLis a true extension of Excel that can be used just like any of the native functions in Excel (i.e. SUM, AVERAGE, STDEV, etc.). You can use NumXL functions via Excel menus, by either manually typing it in your workbooks, via menu, and by using Excel function wizard
- With NumXL, the users develop their econometric models in Excel in the same way they always did, but now, they use NumXL to test for normal distribution, serial correlation or dataset stability, and calibrate ARMA/GARCH model using the data in Excel and forecast values for new points
- NumXL gives you complete control over the location and format of computed values. Just like a native Excel function, NumXL places the calculated results into the selected cell and nowhere else. Once you've created a NumXL formula, you can use it just like any other Excel formula by copying or linking to other cells
- NumXL is the perfect tool to automate your analysis process. Once a spreadsheet is created with NumXL functions for one data set, running the same analysis for different data (or same but new observations) is as simple as copy & paste
