• Life is short. Still, sometimes we have to spend precious hours on monotonous, routine work. Not sure about you, but I do feel pity for those moments of my life. My working duties (I am a news analyst) presuppose so to say scanning lots of information and giving the gist, main idea. A year ago I found a really great solution of my problem. That solution was Intellexer Summarizer, the software, which helps me to make summaries of the news I work with faster and more precise. With Intellexer Summarizer I can make a summary of any file format texts, such as DOC, PPT, RTF, TXT, HTML and CHM as well as of the web page. Now there is no need to read the entire document to know what it is about. My new software helps me. We live in the 21st century, when there is loads of useful software; now I found the one which helps me, makes my life easier. The thing I liked about Intellexer Summarizer is that it does not make standard machine summary with just the first sentences of each abstract inserted, and all the other information missing; but it makes real human-like summary. It’s really helpful, because I am always sure the summary is correct, and there is no need to reread the text, looking for keystone ideas dropped out. Another nice feature about this software is the length of summary – it can be varied according to my needs. Sometimes the news is lengthy, still, not quite informative and useful for me. Using different percentage scale helps me to solve this problem. I just let my “colleague-software” know how much information I would like to get and it generates. Moreover, the software provides theme-oriented summarization, thus helping to focus on one particular topic of the news, the main idea, and not to waste time on side thoughts. Great feature is the possibility to save the summary into history, and summary management and edit tools. I can always come back to my summaries, edit them or look through, e-mail or print it – whatever I want, whenever I need. Time is money, - said Benjamin Franklin.
