A2EE.mda - Exports Access forms with subforms and datasheets with subdatasheets into Excel
A2EE.mda is an MS Access add-in that enables exporting of following MS Access structures to MS Excel:
- Table with subdatasheet
- Query with subdatasheet
- Form in datasheet view with subdatasheet
- Form with subform
You may also say that it converts above mentioned Access objects to Excel worksheets.
The result of such an export / conversion is that data from both parent level (datasheet or form) and children (subdatasheet or subform) levels get exported into MS Excel worksheet while keeping the drill-down view.
It is being used when there is a need to:
* SHARE ACCESS DATA (INCLUDING SUBDATASHEETS OR SUBFORMS) WITH NON-ACCESS USERS
* PROCESS ACCESS-ORIGINATING DATA IN EXCEL WHILE KEEPING ORIGINAL PARENT-CHILD LAYOUT
After you export Access parent-child structured data into Excel, you can process or analyze them in Excel worksheet the way that wouldn't be possible in Access (you can use Excel's graphs, formatting, forms, formulas and other Excel-specific features).
* PRINTOUT DATASHEET WITH SUBDATASHEET OR FORM WITH SUBFORM AND ITS DATA OF AL LEVELS ALL AT ONCE
You can't do this directly from Access - in Access the printout will always contain only parent's data, but you can do this from Excel after you had exported such data to Excel.
* EXPORT DRILL-DOWN STRUCTURE INTO DIFFERENT FILE FORMAT
Once you get parent-child structured output into the Excel, you can now export it from Excel into any other file formats.
* PROTECT YOUR ACCESS DATA
On one hand you may need to share your data, but you don't want to share the whole Access database.
You may want to share only selected tables, queries or forms and their childs but not the whole database itself.
* SEND DATA VIA EMAIL
Some Email servers (especially in big businesses) delete all attached Access databases from Emails, while Excel worksheets are not blacklisted and get through.
And most of Email servers won't put through any attached files above 10 or 15 MB of volume.
